EXCL: David Koepp in Talks for Spider-Man 4!
Source: Superhero Hype!
January 22, 2007

Superhero Hype! has learned exclusively from a very reliable source that Spider-Man screenwriter David Koepp is in talks with Sony Pictures to write Spider-Man 4!

Our source tells us that the studio is really excited about Spider-Man 3 after having seen a first cut of the movie. Add to that the phenomenal reaction to the screenings of footage at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and the momentum leading up to this point from last summer's Comic-Con, which have sparked the studio to approach Koepp about penning the fourth film's screenplay.

Koepp is not signed yet, but the studio is definitely moving forward with another installment.

Keopp recently finished the script for Indiana Jones 4 which received the green light from George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford. Besides the first Spider-Man movie, he has written such blockbusters as War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park, Panic Room, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible and Carlito's Way.

The first two "Spider-Man" films earned $1.6 billion dollars total worldwide. Spider-Man 3 kicks-off the summer on May 4.

So what's going to happen in this one. We haven't even seen the 3rd one yet. I'll wait a few years maybe by 2009 if that's the date and see it. But can't wait for it even though we still haven't seen the 3rd one.

I like the spider man series. I will finally get to watch one in theaters when 3 comes out. It's the only marvel comic movie series I follow.

3 = Venom

Venom will be in it, but he is only suppose to be minor and will continue on to the 4th, where he is the major villian. This is about Peter Parker fighting his inner demons, via through the alien matter than binds with him as well as fighting against the killer of his uncle.

In the end, Spidey is lame, super hero movies suck.

take it back.

spiderman is better than most of the **** movies on screen how movies like resident evil, superman returns, all the x-men, punisher, and ghost rider make it to screen is beyond me. but batman and spiderman they are above average, they are great films though sappy they both are fill with fun good action sweet cgi and good acting.

spiderman three will have venom at the end spiderman will probli have one battle with him and he'll run off then 4 will be pretty much that i dont think they will bring about carnage yet but who knows.

super hero movies dont suck it just dpends who making them and i think raimi and nolan (highly skilled directors) know what they are doing. PWSA doesnt UWE Bolls can't direct and singer can't make anything worth a damn.

^^^ I'm hoping like 30. Comics are perfect for modern serials -- the studios should be shooting like 3 at a time.

Three films are enough. I don't think I've seen a movie series that lasted past three without starting to suck. And even three is pushing it. Someone please give me an example and prove me wrong.

Maybe Harry Potter. Don't know haven't seen any of them all the way through. So I'll give you guys that one. Any others?

James Bond franchise.

Good call. But I'll make a last ditch argument by saying that franchise is the same three or four films over and over again. Not that I don't love those movies. Its just that they've been rehashing stuff for the last thirty years or so.

But that's a different thread all together.

Venom isn't in the third one? I hope he is and its not just the sandman...

I wish they put The Scorpion or The Lizard in the movie...

I liked Tim Burton's Batman movies... In the third one he added Robin and than in the fourth one... He added Batgirl... So to me, that kept my interest... Well, the way they did it at least...
