Spiderbrace 2

Spiderbrace 2

I recently ordered one and I think it's good value for the money. It's lightweight and comfortable to handle. Remember to go for the spiderbrace 2 version, that one is specially designed for camera's like the dvx100.

SpiderBrace

I love this forum cuz I had never heard of the spiderbrace until someone here had mentioned then I did some internet searching got interested and I ordered on Monday and got it two days later. After first I was skeptical cuz the box was a pretty good size but it was so light I thought did they send me an empty box? I opened it up pulled the brace out and I loved the sturdiness and the wieght of it. I did some shooting with it and boy did I fall in love with. I took apart my old 130$ brace for parts and thru away the rest. All in all the spiderbrace is a very good buy. :dankk2:

That looks great, very much like the dual grip set-up I use for handheld work. In that case, it doesn't sit over your shoulder but against your chest.

The Spider Brace has something I really like and that's a rounded handle that could take a VariZoom rocker controller. The only drawback I see is that you cannot [easily] change the tilt angle for ground shots like you can with a dual pivoting handgrip system.

No changing the tilt angle is not all that ez the thing i wanna do is some how mount removable wheels so I can have a make shift dolly. any ideas?

I would prefer an aluminum version ot the Spider Brace, so that I could use the version with one handle instead of two. I would hold it with the righ hand, with shoulder support, and have the left hand free for focusing, etc.

I dont use both handles unless im just sitting on a wide and no zooming and focusing is needed. I put my rite hand on the cam on the tape drive to zoom and the left hand holds the lense so I can focus with the left handle resting on my wriest.
