Spelling/grammar peeves

I don no weather your right to or our were suppose too believe the other guy cause i think there not wrong.
 
J.R. has made a really valid point. There are a precious few that really stand out. Hell, even Van Gogn was considered a complete social moron in his day.



Keep in mind however, those great film artists mentioned are not trying to sell spec scripts. That's the important difference.

Spell check catches alot of mistakes, but its no substitute for a competent editor. I paid a retired high school English teacher to go over mine for the last couple of re-writes. I found this one by calling the school's main office and asking if I could post a note in the teacher's lounge. They were fine with it. About two weeks later, this retired teacher was there substituting for a day, saw it, called and before all was said and done she agreed to read the script and mark it up for up to three times for $100. Thats a pretty reasonable price for an editor.
