The man has been here on the island for three weeks or so and there are about 25 locations he is covering. Arri trucks are all over the place setting up / servicing a shoot / or striking a set. It feels like LA right now and it is great. Its great when the cameras are rolling :)

I suppose you got a tent handy and are following 'em 24/7? :)

Well, that's what I'd be doing...

Yeah, what's the project? Pacific War mini-series? Just a guess!

They shot Band of Brothers just near me and Spielberg was only there for about 2 days. I tried to get work on it but was too late... :(

Jurassic Park 4? :P

But according to iMDb Spielberg has only one movie currently filming - Munich. The rest is all in pre/post-production stage...

Its the Munich 72 one, Malta is doubling up as Greece, Israel and other places . . . all the 70's cars that are in good/restgored condition have been rented out :)

I'm anxious for the Pacific War to get started... Man i'd love to be in that... sigh...

Ya no doubt. That reminds me, I need to start my bimonthly BoB marathon (Going on 5 rounds now)

haha, awesome. another BoB fan!

I save them special occasions, like June 6th and such like. I ODed on Private Ryan and have problems enjoying it anymore. The last episode nearly made me cry, I have to admit... but there was a girl in the room, so I had to look tough and hold back.

Who is sadder, me or kai?

Heh I read the book and watched the series. Damn it was good. The coolest thing was that the first group to get to Hitler's Eagle's Nest was Easy Company. And boy did they ever loot the hell outta that place! Makes me wish I could fight a war just for the looting... I er uh... mean world peace...

Actually, the 7th Infantry got to the Kehlstein Mountain first. Not only is this recorded in potentially biased sources such as Fedala to Berchtesgaden, the 7th Regiment's World War II history, another history called The Third Infantry Division in World War II or the recollections of 7th Infantry veterans, but in other more neutral sources.

General Eisenhower in his wartime memoir said, "on May 4 the 3rd Division...captured Berchtesgaden." Even the 101st Airborne credits the 7th Infantry with getting to Berchtesgaden. Major General Maxwell Taylor, commander of the 101st, admitted in his postwar memoir, "3d Division units got into Berchtesgaden ahead of us on the afternoon of May 4."

Easy Company got there on the 5th of May. Ambrose was mistaken in his research on this fact, and it's reflectied upon in the book and miniseries.

Oh well, still the best series ever! ;)

Ambrose does slip up every so often. I noticed a few errors in "PEGASUS BRIDGE" after I got to talk to one of the glider crews in person.
