Speeding up clips without "ghosting"

Hey ya'll. I've been speeding up clips often to create a timelapse effect. But it comes out really rough and VERY "blurred" that resembles the ghosting that occurs when I screw up my progressive footage by introducing interlacing.

I REALLY want to figure out how to do this right so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Turn off frame blending on each clip that you do not want to see frame blending.

On the timeline

Mouse2 --> Untick "Frame Blend"
