It very least, get the SB600. The SB900 is far more versatile if you plan on taking it off of the hot-shoe, but I know it's hard to justify paying more for a flash than you did for your camera.
Just don't get the SB400. It does not swivel and you cannot use it off camera. The only time I tell people to get an SB400 is if they already have one of it's bigger brothers and they just want something lite for direct light outdoor photography. It is not fun to use inside.
