Specific Pulldown question

Ok, I know about pulldown for 24p and 24pa footage and the correct way to import and edit in premiere pro cs3. I know that if you shoot 24pa you should edit on a 24p timeline and remove pulldown, however what are the workings if you shoot just normal 24p and edit in the 24p timeline with the pulldown removed? I have tried this and the footage it really badly interlaced it seems, why can't this be done. Should you just edit in a 29.97 timeline when you shoot just normal 24p footy with pulldown??? The footy looks just fine when on that timeline

Should work. Not sure why you'd be having a problem, unless for some reason the pulldown flags aren't in the clips. What did you shoot this with?

I heard that if you have the option to shoot 24pa and edit on a 24p timeline, you should def choose to. Is there any a time to shoot 24p normal then?

You would shoot standard 24p if you were planning to mix it with 30p or with other footage you don't want to convert to 24p. In that case, you would edit on a 60i timeline.
