Special offers for Vegas Pro 14 until September 27. $199 to $350.

Wow! Incredible deal! I'll download the trial and see if it makes me want to switch back. Thanks for sharing this! :)

The email does say "upgrade offer". People might still be able to outright buy it at that price without having Vegas Pro 13. If anyone were to try and buy it without owning Vegas Pro 13, please report back. It's until Spetember 27.

Yep - but since Magix finally posted the official upgrade prices, trying to decide if I'm upgrading or moving to Adobe.

FYI I purchased using the link in the original email. I do own Sony Vegas Pro 13, and had regsitered on Magix site when forums moved from Sony site. I logged in to the site to purchase however there was also an option to make a Magix account. It is possible that by me loging in they knew I owned v13, but I doubt it. I suspect it will work for new users

I own Vegas Pro 12 and just got the message to upgrade. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a scam. Will let you guys know what happens

Okay got it upgrade and it reads my h265 which is what the NX1 shoots on. By the way I only had Vegas Pro 12 on my desktop and had no trouble upgrading to 14.

I too, did not get an e-mail so I wrote to them on Sept 27th and they responded.

I could have saved all of this back and forth because today as I started up Vegas Pro 13 it says the "special" upgrading pricing extends to Oct 16.

I was a bit miffed by the pop up ad that says Vegas Pro 14 - for an unbeatable upgrade price "From $199" - It's not !

if you click the price immediately shows $249 and if you poke around you discover, as reported above by CameraExpert, that $199 is for Vegas Pro Edit 14, a different product.

I expect there is no point complaining about this "bait and switch", but the popup ad is misleading.

I am not going to make a fuss over $50. I will just order it so that I am in their books as a licensee of Vegas Pro 14.

$199 is for Vegas Pro Edit 14, a different product.

I understand it's the same product, just doesn't include the plugins included with the $249 version. Whatever, I still consider the upgrade prices a ripoff, am sticking with 12 and a few workarounds.

Here's what's new in Vegas 14

  • Added a Vignette video effect.
  • Added support for working with high-frame-rate (HFR) clips.
  • Added hover scrub to the Trimmer for fast scrubbing.
  • Updated support for current BlackMagic Design hardware:
    • DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G, 4K Pro, 4K Extreme, Studio 4K, SDI 4K, HD Extreme, Extreme 3D, Mini Monitor, and Mini Recorder.
    • Intensity Shuttle, Pro 4K, and Pro.
    • UltraStudio 4K Extreme, 4K, Pro, SDI, Express, Mini Monitor, and Mini Recorder.
  • Improved support for clips from RED ONE, EPIC, SCARLET, and WEAPON cameras.
    • Added Post lift, Post gamma, Post gain, and Dragon enhanced blacks controls to the R3D Decode Properties dialog.
    • Fixed an issue that caused certain clips to fail to load on upgraded RED WEAPON cameras with older firmware.
    • Fixed a crash that could occur when loading certain old RED ONE clips.
    • Fixed a color cast that could occur in clips shot with RED Motion Mount on the latest camera firmware.
  • Updated support for current AJA hardware.
