Spec. commercial I wrote and directed

nice picture. I feel like it was a little slow moving. I really liked the idea and loved the spit... just something felt like it was a little too slow...

Looks good, but I do agree its a little slow - or maybe too fast. It's at this in between state with the humor and you've got to take it one way or another - this may work better at a :15. For this kind of quick, over the top, ranting humor it needs to pack in as much as possible and do it really quick to be funny. That seems like the direction you were trying to go. On the other hand, you could take some things out and try for longer, slower, awkard pauses between the boss and the interviewee. Though from the cut I saw, I'm not completly sure you'd have the right footage for that. Take it one way or another though, its not right as is.

BTW, it looked great and I was wondering what you were shooting on/ the budget? I'm gearing up to do a few specs myself and I'm trying to price out a non-16mm, cheaper budget.

no it was shot on 35mm with a BL-4

Vison2 5218 stock


I only wished I could have used my 1.4 50mm nikon on some of the Spec spots...

but we had a set of standards zeiss primes that got us through
