Spacer for Mounting Cine Lens on Gimbals

I'm trying to mount a couple cine lenses on my Zhiyun Crane, but the focus gears disable it / make it very difficult from being able to move the camera forward or backwards on the plate. Any solutions? I'm up for a cheap DIY solution as well. Basically I just need to create about half a cm of space between the camera and the mounting plate.

Stack a few layers of cork tape or cork coasters on the mounting plate and get a longer 1/4"-20 bolt.

Aluminum plate, hacksaw, drill, longer bolt, done.

Better: Thicker plate to mount under the camera with holes drilled and tapped to allow you to move the camera/lens back to achieve balance. Would get you about half an inch higher (12mm) which may or may not be an issue with center of gravity to balance on the gimbal.

To make it look nice, dip it into some black Plasti Dip a few times.
