Space Shuttle Launch

[Adam Gonzalez]

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the cape to shoot it. But got some photos from the pool area at my apartment. Note: My apartment is about 70 miles from the Cape!

If anyone has anything of the shuttle post it here!

1) Shot on a Nikon D70s, Sigma 70-300 at a 70mm, ISO 640 (didn't check it before the launch ouch) 1/1000 at F 9

2) Sigma 70-300mm at 300mm, ISo 640, 1/1000, F 9

Just wanted to get the topic started.

Very nice. One day I want to go see a launch.

I could kick myself for not going out there yesterday.

Please post any pictures of the shuttle on here!

Yeah, I had planning on driving down again for this one. I went down in Dec for Discovery. But I am definitely coming down for Endeavour in Aug.

Looks like a perfect day for a launch too. Would have been nice to right there.

Man I was just in Orlando for a week on a shoot and missed the launch by one day

And I just walked outside in time to watch the contrail spread across the sky.

i would love to see a launch in person some day

That's why I started going last Dec. I grew up with the shuttle and had never seen a launch. And I know it's days are numbered. So I am going to try to catch as many as I can. Endeavor is set for Aug 9, and then I think Discovery again in Nov. They are trying to ramp up the schedule.

Next time I am definitely going to go out there. I really missed out, it was such a beautiful day!
