SP2 fix yet?

Is there a viable solution to this yet? Does Adobe even give a **** (sorry, venting - just spent an hour and a half over at adobe.com I will never get back) Export to DVD and Media encoder crippled. >:(

How dangerous is it to roll back the service pack - With a full edited project on drive!

Any fix it advise would be swell :)

Thanks

With a full edited project on drive!

ahh flashbacks!

Hey dakotapod, before you attemp anything. Back it up to tape or an external harddrive. If you don't have one get one. I got a 250gig for about 200bucks. Funny that its the same drive that I fit delete on. I HAD SP2 before and when I had to uninstall it for my music recording the dam computer crashed for some strange reason. I'm not quite sure if its due to the uninstallation of SP2 to SP1. It could due to other things as well. I advise you to backup your stuff first. It may uninstall fine but as a safety percaution back up your important stuff first. I have no patience for adobe right now. They love putting me on hold for the longest time. Plus they didn't even hire me. I told them I'd work for free too.

Why do you want to roll back SP?

Re: SP2 fix yet?

Ya - Your unfortunate situation makes me very paranoid about deleting anything.

sp2 is not good for premiere. Causes major problems. I never installed it, it's on another machine. In this case the export to DVD and Media encoder won't work. I'm pissed that adobe seems pretty indifferent to the situation. All they need is a patch. What is their suggestion... Change the name of the premiere executable file, works for some. Nice fix! >:(

Re: SP2 fix yet?

do you guys have chapter points on the timeline? if you do just delete those and it will work, i have not had any problesm with sp2 and ppro 1.5...

Re: SP2 fix yet?

Nope - Not the problem. The "export to DVD" & "Adobe media composer" are not even functional on the menu. Like they have been disabled. :-/ Worked up until sp2 dropped in from my understanding. >:(
