Southern California January Meeting

It is finally going to happen. The first Southern California DVX User meeting.
What: We will be getting acquainted and talking about how independent filmmakers can use the dvx100 to make movies. There will be a discussion on independent distribution and about the proposed film festival here in Orange featuring DVX100 films.
When: This coming Thursday January 15th at 7:30pm.
Where: Diedrich Coffee
44 Plaza Square
in historic old town Orange.

It is in the center of old town on the South West side of the circle.
On more note.
I have already contacted the DVX100 product specialist from Panasonic about February. She wants a list of topics the users wish to have addressed in February. This Thursday a short survey will be taken so I can send the results to her before she comes in February.

Although I can't make it this Thursday (wife prepping for launch of her new line for ASR which means I am on kid patrol) this is a great idea. In fact, there should be chapters all over!

For those of you in the Orange County area I would definatley go. I'll keep my eyes open for future meetings (can't we move it to San Luis Obispo? :( :) )

Let us know how it goes you so-caler's!!! Wow. Actually speaking to a PANI rep in person?

It's going great. The cool thing is that the Director and I are always on the same page about things and always seem to go in the same direction.

He and I are hooking up after the weekend to goto location and scout it and go over the dvx settigns we wish to do.

Keep me posted. If you need an extra hand or DVX. I have friends up there I'll drop the wife and kids off and meet you on set. Depending on what days you are shooting. 8)
