Just an idea for those of us in Southern Calif. Maybe get together once a month to network, share tips & tricks and screen footage. We'd need a location with a video projector and large enough to accomodate a good size group (which I'm sure we would grow into.) We could bring in experienced Hollywood DP's and directors as well as indie types. Get Panasonic and others to donate prize give-aways and generally have a grand old time talking trash about this damn camera. Any takers?

darn good idea, too bad I am on the other side of the country. I guess that is sortof what this place is for though, but being in person would be cool.

How so? Do you wear flood pants or something? Groups are useless, if they don't support all levels of inexperience.

i don't blame him, i went to a Adobe group a few years ago and everyone treated me like a complete idiot because I didnt know jack **** about layers. Never again. At least in this forum i can say my stupid stuff and if someone makes fun of me there are enough of you cool people here that you would probally pick me up off the ground.

There's an Atlanta Videographers Association here, which I joined and they are terrific. It's just a great group of people with a common interest. We've had speakers from JVC, Sony, Adobe and Matrox since I've been a member. It's been great.

Then I thought, "if I build it they will come." So I started looking for a place to meet that had screening capabilities. But after a couple of weeks of trying I came up dry on all fronts and decided to get on with my life and go shoot some video. I'd still be interested meeting if someone else spear-heads it. I've got plenty of stuff to show and am pretty knolwedgeable about the camera at this point. O.C. is bit of a drive for me but a weekend afternoon might be doable.

I do not have anything to show anyone at this point, but am sure I could learn alot about this camera. One good thing is, if one of us is shooting a project and requires a second unit, or just another DVX for coverage.....

24P, dont fret about no supoprt from Panasonic... seems they dont give a damn about most people and this camera.. Quite a shame actually.
