I think this could be a good idea.

I think before we plan any kind of gathering we should hash out some details.

1. Who
2. What
3. Where
4. How long?
5. Items to bring ?
6. Items to discuss?
7. Goals?

I guess what I mean is, what is our reasons and goals for this? What do we hope to accomplsih?

I personally have never been involved in any king of group (except the therapy kind)

I'm up for it if this will help us acheive our goals and perhaps meet some peeps who have similar or likeminded interests.

BTW - kidding about the therapy thing!

I'm from San Diego as well, and I'm interested... but sadly don't have much to contribute yet. I'm still learning the ropes of my camera, and building a kit.

Welcome to the club. Don't worry about not being a PRO (I surely am not). Everyone can contibute in many ways. There was a tentative discussion for a NOV 22nd meeting....

Does anyone in San Diego want to get together and exchange secrets? I'm trying to learn this camera inside and out and it would be cool to tag along with someone who knows how to use it... and as I learn, I wouldn't mind sharing with others.

I'm up for it. I am not MR. DVX, but I think in using each other's resources and knowledge one can only bene from it.

And ROBEDITOR, where will you be shooting? SanDiego? Need a second DVX? Now your 2 for 1's can be 4 for 1's! :)

Currently finishing the writing of the 10min short open to have it done meaning writing, and looking to cast a 20ish looking women, an two guys one .

I live in LA and am game to network. I'm planning on getting the dvx after the NAB conv. But am willing to network and get feedback. I live in North Hollywood and think it's a great idea for DVX'ers to get together to learn and network.

I've done some commercial work with my DVX100A. Also shot a documentary (still somewhat incomplete) and I'm in pre-production for a short film.

So, yeah, I'm interested. Valley anyone? :) Just drop me a line when things are organized. I'm also willing to volunteer some of my time to help make this happen.
