I have been using soundtrack pro in sync w/ Final Cut and have so far been REALLY disappointed with it. First off I had a project with a video in it and one day I go to open the project and the video is gone. The track was still there, but apparently stp lost the actual data. So I had to start a new project...so today I open stp and two audio files are missing. WTF? How does that happen? Still I did not consider it that big of a deal because they were Voiceovers that I could easily re-record, but then I look to the bottom and to my surprise (not really tho) the record/play panel is missing so I have no clue what to do to record new tracks.
Another annoyance that I find with STP is that I can do whatever I want with audio, but then I can not trim the video a little to align it exactly how I want it to be aligned, this is something that i would rather take care of in the audio phase of my projects.
STP IMO is not a very good program, I am relatively new to it and am somewhat experienced with FCP, but I had a much easier time editing audio w/ Vegas.
