Sound Synch (matching HVX timecode with my Tascam)

Actually I'm running off of a firestore which changes the timecode issue even more. I need to get synch sound but I have not found a way to match the timecode from the Firestore to the Tascam P2 sound recorder. Any ideas?
 
if remember correctly you cant run free run on fire store .
if that so you probably will have to slate every take or just send tc from external device ( external tc generator0 to both , recorder and the camera to one of the audio channels then if you working on avid you can stamp the tc from the audio channel , if you on fcp i think only the latest version support that , for the previous you need third party one ,

ever i mention that tascam is the cripple tc recorder which could work only as a secondary one for normal production :-)

I actually do have an external TCG slate but I need to drive out to get a male/male XLR adapter to hook it up.
 
the best is to split the signal and feed the Tascam + feed to the camera audio channel - if you have spar wireless that would be much easier
if not jam the tascam then feed the camera , jam the tascam every hour or so
