Shot interview last night.
Headphones or headphone jack failed so had to rely on metre alone for sound levels.
Wave form looks good on timeline,----but sounds distorted.
Any thoughts on why this would be.
How did you mic the interview? If you mic'd it wireless, it could be possible the signal from the wireless transmitter to the wireless receiver was distorted, but then the signal from the receiver to the DVX was within parameters. That would give you a reasonable-looking waveform with distorted audio...
Used a wireless,---but couldn't get MDR-7506 headphones to work,---also audio monitor is pegged at the (+) end and won't budge.
Reviewed camera settings ALC was off,---and it was set at 60db rather than the default 50db (duh).
Had to rely on metre alone since couldn't monitor sound. Would likely have caught distortion with ear otherwise. Wonder why phones won't work,--
Found headphone problem.
Have to push down really, really hard on monitor button,---which by the way was pegged at lowest setting.
(duh). As you can tell I'm a technical wiz!
Now to deal with fixing the distortion without reshooting. Well I can always hope.
Video's excellent though.
Maybe silent with subtitles,---
Getting some advice from Spot on salvaging what I've got.
Anything but a reshoot.
Oh,----the humanity!!!
