Sound in Premiere

Some people told me that there are problems when making sound entirely in premiere [mixing + exporting from premiere] and that it's better to do it in something like Audition or Vegas.

The algorithms are not that good ot something like that.

I was willing to know what is your opinion about this.

Well, what exactly do you need to do? Premiere is an NLE and has a very basic suite of sound effects. For simple effects like reducing levels or making dialogue sounds like a phone call, it will suffice. But for the big stuff you obviously want to use something else.

degrades audio huh? no more than any sort of compression degrades video. Same rules come into play.

It's all 1's and 0's.

However audio mastering is it's own art. If can find someone that records local Bands to lend you their ear even if you have to pay for it.
