My sound editor is going to be working on my project's sound using software other than Vegas. Here is what we plan to do:
1) As I get a final cut of each scene I will give him the scene files as edited so he can work on the sound
2) he does his work then gives the sound back to me
3) I put the sound back where it was supposed to go
Now, he doesn't need full blown video files but obviously he will need the actual sound files. Our assumption is since he won't be modifying the audio in any way other than taking out pops, left over dialogue crap, tone and levels and all that stuff, the sync of the audio shouldn't be an issue when I bring it back.
Question one: is our assumption correct?
Question two: what do I need to do to provide him the sound files so he can do his audio work?
