Sound Devices 702: on playback hearing audio out of one side of headphones

Sorry to ask this but I didn't find a solution in the SD702 user's manual to the audio issue I'm having during playback.

When I record sound from my XLR mic to my SD702, I'm hearing the sound perfectly in my headphones.
But on playback I hear the audio only out of the left headphone cup. I can't figure out what setting this would be under in the menu. I assumed it would be in the "monitor" section, but I haven't located the correct setting.

Thanks very much in advance for any help with this.

Are you sure you recorded the mic to both channels? Assuming you connected one mic to XLR input 1, the default setup would record to Track A (left) only. Track B (right) would be empty. To record dual mono, you'd need to route Input 1 to both Tracks A & B using the setup menu. What you heard during recording depends on your monitoring setup ... you may have it set so both ears receive signal from Input 1 during recording. These routing options for both recording, monitoring, and playback are all detailed in the manual.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer, Steve. Will check my monitor settings again. The 702 is an amazing device. I've never recorded sound this clear. The audio quality really is stellar.

If you're just recording a single channel, then you'll need to set your HP Sources to Track A,A. You can also save disk space by
setting your input path the 1->A (only). If you're recording two tracks, you'll probably want to set it to Tracks A+B,A+B unless
you're recording in stereo.

Thanks so much jmarkham. Will be sure to check those settings. I've never seen so many menu functions on one portable device, nearly 100, incredible.
Thanks again, :)
