Hey guys it has been a long time since I have posted anything on this forum. I hope everything is going well for everyone. I have recently considered continuing with building my own sound cart and looked at a few different types of materials, aluminum vs. steel, tubing vs. extrusions vs. angle iron, etc. But my main concern is powering my cart for those remote shoots far away from any electrical outlet as well as on those shoots where power breakers continue to flip or just go out all together.
I have seen some sound carts some of which look too cluttered and utterly confusing, then there are others I am able to make much more sense of. I guess what I am getting at is wiring for power supplied to hot boxes and hotstrips. I am going to use car batteries, 2 in series to get 24v, but I am still confused as to do the wiring to the hot box or should I consider an all inclusive type of power supply?
