I know this isnt really the place to post this, but i wanted some feedback on lighting. This is just one of the shots, but i can post more if people like them. The more reddish tone to the skin was delibrate as i balanced on a warm card and was the look i was looking for.

The image is slightly more grainy than the origional footage as this still was taken from the compressed quicktime file

thanks.
Kyle.

Wow, that looks really awesome...Nice job lighting...Give us some details on the lighting kit...lets see some more..uncompressed!

Re: sorry not DVX but XL2

Thanks for the kind words
lighting kit?? :-/... for lighting I used one 500w work lamp, with no barn doors, no gels, and no diffusers. I just bounced the light of a near wall at the right angle being carful as to not illuminate the background too much.

Im currently looking in to buying a lighting kit, but living in the UK is **** for suppliers for this kinda thing.
Kyle.

lol john. Yeah I wasnt sure where to post this :-/

i was wondering why you moved this to Latest DVX News/Articles...

Re: sorry not DVX but XL2

I like the low key lighting, though I'd use a bounce card to get a little definition on the other side of the face. A back light to make the hair pop out would be good, too.

The one thing I hate about work lights is that they flicker. Looks good, though.

Re: sorry not DVX but XL2

yeah i agree, backlighting would have improved.

This lighting business is an art in its own

im off to practice...
