My friend wanted to try out Vegas pro 9 for his pc and he said the trial ended and he can't use it anymore, even if he uninstalls it and tries to download the trial again...is there anything he can do? He said he didnt spend enough time on it to decide whether he wants to buy it or not. He uses premiere at the mo. I told him Vegas was better. Hes a long way from me so cant use my PC. Mind you he had 30 odd days of the trial......

LOL. Good point actually. I meant for me personally. I think its much easier to use. Premiere was a little complicated for me, and took me longer to figure out than Vegas. So in the learning respect, its a bit easier to figure out, Vegas that is, don't you think?

Easier to figure out /= better.

Software registration is tied to the computer's ID number and your email address. So short of some hack he would need to download the trial onto another computer using a different email.

People warm to different programs for different reasons. There is no "better." Only "better at certain things" and "more what I personally like."

You could have him reinstall Windows clean, but I doubt it's worth that.
