Hi everyone,
I currently have an Sony URX-P03 wireless audio receiver and a matching UTX-B03 wireless transmitter. Both were purchased in China and occupy channels 38-46 (710.025-782.000 mHz).
I am interested in upgrading the URX-P03 to a two-channel URX-P03D. It seems that the US versions of this product distribute channels/frequencies differently. If I get one that occupies channels 42-51 (638 to 698 MHz), will it still work with my current transmitter?
Actually, just typing out the frequency bands makes me realize that they do not overlap, although the channel ranges overlap. It seems that none of the 3 US versions of the URX-P03D occupy or even overlap with 710.025-782.000 mHz.
Is it simply that different countries map different frequencies to different channels? And different countries reserve different frequencies for civilian use, I assume? If I simply buy a new set in the US, will it likely get interference when used in China, or will I be okay if I stick with certain frequencies?
Thank you.
