Sony Sound Forge Coming to Macs

That would be nice. I used to use SF waaaayyy back, but then had to move to the Mac. Somehow I doubt there will be a cross-grade from the pre Sony SF though ;~(

Shame - I love Soundforge on the PC and miss it on the Mac.

It's NOT disappearing from the PC, they are introducing a new version that will be released on BOTH Mac and PC platforms.

Sony appears to be taking a page out of Adobe's book...

This remains to be seen. Historically, when a new version of SCS software is released, registered owners are offered a very attractive upgrade price, for instance, upgrading from any earlier version to the latest which included (pre-Sony) Sonic Foundry versions.
Not to be confused with an 'update' (build) which are free to registered owners.

I am pretty happy about this since Bias PEAK turned off their authentication servers and deemed their program useless... Peak was an insanely great tool for video game dialogue. I'm interested to try Sound Forge.
