WOW!!!! If this gives you ANY idea of how serious Sony is taking their video (EVEN CONSUMER LEVEL) products these days!!!

They have already offered a fix for the "clicking" sound some have found while recording video.

Well, if they made something defective,it's only normal that they fix it, that's how it should be...

I agree completely. (Now if we could only get other companies to agree.)

I bought a JVC (consumer) camera. I used it 6 times (less than 1hr of usage) in 1 1/2 months. It DIED (dead as a door nail)....it had a particular error. I googled the error and found THOUSANDS of people who had the same thing happen. JVC would NOT fix the error and they would NOT replace the cam. People were SCREAMING as loud as they could (threatening class action, etc)....and JVC did NOTHING. I promised myself that I would NEVER deal with JVC again. I know they aren't the only ones, but to assume that a major corp will "fix it" is a bad assumption. To be honest (I own the NEX5N BTW), I figured that I'd just have to accept it and find a work around. Kudos to them that they are taking care of their customers and products. Way to go SONY!!!

disassemble....

disassemble....

I've started to take mine apart. top, bottom, controls, batterigrip, but haven't got the balls to unconnect the LCD as it is the next step in fully removing the backplate, which i only got about 1cm loose, and all i could see where a few big "microchips". as far as the clicksound goes it seems to be coming from around the sensor, either the shutterblades (they might have a little too much "space" inside each of their compartments) or the rotate-sensor, which might hide inside the big sandwich ;)

Here are some pics.. maybe someone takes knows how to unconnect the LCD?
