Sony NEX FS700-4K?

Only issue with what Andrew's saying: I guess he doesn't realize Sony has been in the Cinema market for quite some time now. xD

I don't really buy that... 96fps? That's cool, and potentially realistic.

I don't think that was a Typo.

Remember, there are still cameras that can shoot very poor 1000FPS images. It's pretty much unusable for anything major, but the interwebs? Well...

Let's see what happens.

Very true, Casio is a great example of this.

But if it can do 960FPS as some dreadful resolution, then there's still good hope for say, 120FPS 720p for example...

Hmmm

Try to get the firmware for the fs100 out first!

Without leading the thread off topic; quick question: what's supposed to be (or rumored to be) in the FS100 firmware upgrade? I really haven't kept up as much as I should have on the sony horizon lately

Among other things: ISO and GAIN readings, NTSC/PAL international capability, 4x and 8x expanded focus, camera profile saved to a memory card, aspect ratio markings (2.35:1, 1.85:1, 1.66:1), focus indication in feet and/or meters, shuttle indication as EXPOSURE TIME or SHUTTLE ANGLE, Alpha mount LA-EA2 compatibility.

Oh Yes! I'm extremely interested in this! Hopefully I'll have the $8k by the time this is rumored to drop.

I'm really not loving the F3/FS100 sensor, and given that it's only been a short time since their release it just looks like repackaging to me. I know people are gonna get excited about 4k and 120fps but how much of a film do you shoot at 120fps? I'm more interested in the C-DSLR at this point. I'm sure Panasonic have a new toy coming too.

I watched "Another Earth" on Blu-Ray last night (on my Panasonic 50" Japanese made, THX plasma)...and it looked AMAZING. And that was shot on a Sony EX3. If that's the kind of quality coming off an EX3 sensor, the FS700 is going to be phenomenal. About time somebody came to game and kicked everyone else in the nuts.

As much as I love Dslr's, Canon MUST bow down to Sony F3/Fs100 footage it is simply better and I work with Dslr footage every day....

Well that's when a shooter like me would get excited, I shoot pro dominantly sports and my camera basically never goes off the 50p setting, if it had a 120fps setting, it would never go off it. also the sensor is this cameras selling point.
