I am working with a variety of tapes and have a J30SDI deck for import. When I load DigiBeta tapes and capture, all 4 of the audio tracks on the tape move beautifully over SDI thru my BlackMagic Decklink card and in to FCP. When I load Betacam SP with the same number of tracks (checked them on a BVW75) only two of the tracks move thru SDI. I have the manual and can't find much info on SP Settings in it but find it strange that only 2 channels go across. Could it be that the J30SDI only converst two of the SP analogue channels to SDI?

Since this post had quite a few views I thought I would post what seems to be the answer:
SP track 3&4 are "FM" tracks and are not compatible with J30SDI and like multi purpose machines. Only tracks 1&2 from an SP Tape are sent to the SDI output. There was only one series of BVW 75 type machine made with an SDI out that would send all 4 tracks to an SDI out and these machines are hard to find, at least in my area. So I wll be selling my brand new used for 5 days Black Magic Design Decklink SDI card and buying a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Studio 2 SD/HD Video Card with SDI, HDMI & Analog Connections so I can use a BVW75 component/analogue audio.
