sony headphones spare parts

i have sony mdr-7506 headphones with one speaker which stopped working. i asked our local sony reseller and he told me that the spare part costs about 150$ (wtf, new headphones is for 100$)...

any idea where to order this speaker for normal price?

Are you certain it's not just a loose or broken cable? Take it to a soundshop to check out. Cheers.

Last I looked, Trew Audio carreis all the spares for the 7506s.

ive gone through countless 7506's through the years. (I have a pile of them in my basement)
Some because of them becoming broken, stepped on, yanked..etc
Others because they simply wear out over time.
They tend to lose their low end bass with extended use.

Point being is if you put an entirely new driver in one side there is a chance
the freq response of the headphones will be lopsided.

It sucks but sometimes its just easier to replace an item than repair it.

$219 and 5Hz - 80!! kHz I work around airfields oh boy just what I need.
