Sony FS5 II Release + 2 new camcorders

lame, glad I sprung for the EVA1. Looks like all software based upgrades less a few extremely minor tweaks.

FS5 form factor is perfect, would have liked to see a more aggressive offering here from Sony. 10-bit 422 internal w/higher mbps all the way through, improved lowlight, etc.

This new FS5 MK II doesn't look impressive, I'm glad that I've bought the C200. Still lacks of 4K 4:2:2 signal but I think that ergonomic is better than C200. How about macro blocking, tearing and iso performance? In the original FS5 those problems were very strong, so what Sony has did to fix this issues?

The PXW-Z280 1/2" sensor recorder looks pretty impressive: A 4K version of the EX1r. 4K internal recording at 10bit, XAVC Intra/Long, MPEG HD422, built-in 17x optical zoom lens with three individual rings and hard stops, S-Log 3, 4 channel audio. Wow! Looks great! No mention of slo-mo capability or auto focus.

It can do face recognition auto focus. No mention of HFR in the Sony website:

Yup, I love the form factor of the FS5. The EVA1 looks to be about the same, but with a far better internal codec. Plus Timecode and WFM, these are really handy to have.
I was debating selling my FS5 and going for the EVA1, but I wanted to see what the FS5 II would have. Now I know. :embarasse

Definitely. TBH I'm surprised Sony had so much time to react since the EVA1 announcement last June, further details in fall, and launch 6 months ago... and basically has not responded at all. Odd.
