Sony FS5 12 bit RAW?

According to Jon Fauer at FD Times, the FS5 will have a 12bit raw output over BNC. Anyone hear anything else about this? Since its a single BNC, could we be looking at 12bit raw 4:2:2? I assume 4:4:4 is out of the question.

"FS5 has the same Super35 size CMOS sensor (APS-C 16:9 format) as the FS7. FS5 FS RAW data comes directly out of the single BNC in back of the camera body. It is a Sony proprietary 12-bit RAW signal, lossless, slightly compressed, that will be available as a paid upgrade later on."

FS RAW -- the same RAW format out of the FS7 and the FS700 -- is a 12-bit linear file structure. It is RAW data from a Bayer pattern sensor, and as such the video sampling concepts of 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 do not apply. Just like on the FS700, the SDI port will be switchable between a video output and a RAW data output. The RAW data will feed to a recorder such as the Odyssey7Q+ to be processed into a video signal.
