Sony "Flash" transition is flashing over the black bars?

Anyone experienced this with Sony's flash transition? 1280 x 720 24PN (23.98 whatever) project.

So far, this project has only been rendered out to Windows WMV9 640x480 for online collaboration during the edit. Perhaps I need to change an output setting to make it render as a 16:9 AR project?

I'll dig around, but if someone has experience in this, I'll be in your debt.

So I simply go into "Custom" and make 480 to 360. Vegas. Gotta love it. Say, have you gotten any "upgrade" emails from Sony? I'd love to jump into 8 from 6d.

Yeah. So, now I'm doing the DVD Architect MPEG 2 (as 23.976 NTSC 4:3 / no pulldown / 720 x 480) render and I'm getting the same thing - a flash over the black bars.

Using David's good advice, I divided 720 by 1.777 (aspect ratio for 16:9) for a total of 720 x 405 lines. The flash is now contained within the bars, however, there is a big black space with a horizontal purple bar at the bottom now.

This is why I shouldn't edit.

It shouldn't be a problem if you use the DVD Architect 24p WIDESCREEN template.
