Sony F55/F3 forum not allowing new posts due to no prefix selection box

Trying to make a new post in the F3/F55 screen grabs/footage section. It wont allow me to post because there is no selection box for which camera you are posting about. It worked before since I have a post there, but not working now. Tried on two different computers, different browsers.

After making a post, all I get is this after submitting:
[h=2]Errors[/h] [h=3]The following errors occurred with your submission[/h]
  • You must select a thread prefix.
 
Do any admin people monitor this?? I sent messages to admin/help well over a week ago too. Im about to log out of this forum permanently.
 
Hello. When you start a thread, there should be a drop down box right above the "title" field, called "prefix" with the text in the drop down saying "(no prefix)". You should be able to select a prefix from that drop down menu, and continue with your thread.

Or, am I not correctly understanding the problem you are having? If you are saying you don't have a prefix drop down menu, I am going to need more information. A screen cap, and the browser versions you are using would be helpful. I've not seen any other report like that, and I do see a drop down box for prefixes.

You must select a prefix, or it will not let you make a thread.
 
I've been posting here off and on since 2006 so I'm familiar. Also see where I said I just posted in that section recently. There is no prefix now. Using Firefox and IE, both are the same.

That is quite strange. I cannot reproduce in firefox, ie, or chrome.

I will have to do some more looking as you are the first person I've seen with this issue. If anyone else has this problem, please let me know your os and exact browser version.

Is it just that section that you are having this problem in, or the whole forum?
 
I have identified the source of the problem. It was the result of a newly created usergroup that sits between newly registered, and those who are allowed to use the marketplace. I neglected to give that usergroup permissions to use prefixes.

Please let me know if this issue is resolved for you now.
