ALL tape stock from any manufacturer (respectively) is using the same lube. Sony is wet (whole range), Panasonic is dry (whole range). If you mix manufacturers, at least try to find out and stay in the same lube type category. You will certainly not get into trouble by mixing different tapes from same manufacturer.

I've run 23+ hours in my camera. 21 of it is from using Premiums. 2 hours from the Panny MQ. Never had a single problem. I was going to use the MQ tapes, but I read some people here posting problems of having to clean after 6-10 hours. Plus, my work had a bunch of the premiums on stock. So I just kind of stuck with them since.

i also have stuck with the premium and have had no problems. I use them because they are far easier to find...
