Sony ECM-55b

Today I managed to pick up a virtually unused Sony ECM-55b. I got it for a really good price IMO. Just wondering what the quality is like on this mic? I will be using it for one man band run and gun docu interviews with my DR100

The venerable ECM55 is a great mic IMO. Extremely rugged and isolates the wearer's voice more than most omni lavs. It would not match up to a boom very well, but it's likely not going to be hidden anyway due to it's size.

It sounds like its good for what I need, as it will be travelling in my backpack round SE Asia for 4.5 months so rugged is essential!
