Sony DVP-FX820 DVD player as external monitor - review

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share a short review I wrote on the FX820 portable dvd player that our group is using as an external monitor solution for our HVX200 + SGPro. I gathered quite a bit of info here and around other forums, so I thought I would contribute some images and input!

In the works is a sunshade, and a shoulder padding, which should completes the DIY shoulder mount rig!

How did you connect the dvd player to your camera.
I am an actor filmmaker.
Just got the dvd and an xha1s but the stv cable provided doesn't seem to fit my camera's a/v line. Do I need to purchase an additional wire or cable.

Please advise.
