Sony DVD Architect animated BG?

I want to drop some footage into my DVD compilation that will play and loop as the background graphic of the menu. I have looked in the manual but this does not seem obvious. Anyone done this?

In the menu settings on the right side, there is an option that says "menu background media". Open it up and browse for your clip.
