Sony dv codec?

Which codec do u use in vegas 8?As in some tutorials say "assuming ur using the sony dv codec" left me wondering if theres a better codec than the sony one..Mostly in relation to color!

The Sony DV codec is just fine. Better then the Microsoft codec, actually.

So what happens when you have third party codecs say maybe huffyuv and you want to use it..It means you'll have to uncheck "ignore third party codecs" right?Which will intern make the microsoft codec become the default?

Actually, the Matrox DV codec becomes the default on my system. I don't recommend it.

The only codecs which will be ignored are DV. HuffYUV isn't DV.
