I have been having trouble using the log & capture window in FCP 6 to capture DVCAM footage with a Sony DSR-30 deck. I discovered that the DSR-30 is not listed as a compatible deck for FCP6 on Apple's compatible devices list. To my surprise, it was not listed for earlier versions of FCP either, although I had no problems using the deck with earlier versions.
Has anyone had any success capturing DV footage to FCP with a DSR-30? Are there any workarounds? I can't even seem to consistently get the deck to communicate with FCP6 to play back footage, let alone capture any. Does any one know why the DSR-30 is not compatible with FCP6 when the DSR-25 and DSR-40 are listed as compatible?
Any help would be gratefully received.
