Sony deck only captures at 1080i?

All right, I have some HD cameras coming in; HVX200 and HVR-V1U. Planning to shoot a documentary at 1080 30p, but the specs on Sony's site for the deck I was looking at, the HVRM15U says it only does 1080i at any frame rate.

Is that accurate? If so, any suggestions on what deck to look at?

Yep, its an HDV deck - HDV is only 1080i. Not sure how you are going to get HD HVX footage into a deck... P2 cards. And as far as I know the V1U shoots its 24P and 30P (does it even do that?) over 60i so you'd still be capturing 1080 60i. And why two non-matching cameras? Not so sure how HDV will intercut with DVCProHD...

Right, all Sony HDV is captured in a 1080i data stream, so 24P or 30P or CF24 or CF30 will all be recorded in a 60i data stream.

You'll likely want to convert those HDV files to DVCPROHD to relieve your computer of the headaches caused by the HDV codec. Just a suggestion.
