Sony Alpha Lens Mount

aren't there a whole line of Zeiss lenses for the new sony dSLRs too? curious why no one has jumped on that ship yet.

The Sony Alpha lens line including Zeiss' have no aperture collar. So some company would have to develop an electronic controller into the mount system that would allow you to adjust the iris. Similar to what has been developped for the Canon EOS lenses on RED and upcoming M2 encore.

It would be sweet if that were to happen - but I'm not holding my breath. I have a Minolta 28-70 F2.8 "G" lens that is the best out there, better than the Nikon 28-70 F2.8 with very little "breathing". But alas, it's just stuck on my still camera taking very pretty still pictures.
