Like most of you, I get blasted with ads for all things audio and video.

There are times I want a quick music sound track, and just now, my workflow is anything but quick.

Any thoughts on SonicFire Pro? Other similar apps that come with a bunch of canned tracks?

Sonic Fire Pro is made by SmartSound. I do not know how much music comes with a full purchase but the SmartSound library is very high quality for royalty free music. I have quite a bit of their recordings which are always real recordings not just some person on a synth.
 
I use it all the time - you can purchase single tracks or albums separately and they have specials from time to time. the package comes with a basic selection. it's so much quicker & easier than hunting for a track online and I can modify the track I pick significantly to suit the footage
 
I have used it, and it is OK, but rather limited. I also have a huge library of loops and elements, as well as being a composer with a vast collection of synths, plugins and instrumentation. That being said, most of the time with budgets for custom music disappearing and time constraints on sessions employed, I end up using production library music from Killertracks.com. I negotiated a blanket license which allows us to use any music or song in their vast library for a special rate.

David, Killertracks has some nice sounding tracks. The fact that they do not list any pricing makes me think it is too expensive for a one man band like myself. Do they have royalty free pricing for mortals or are they focused on larger entities? For example, a SmartSound album will cost anywhere between $25 (on sale) to $100 for around 8-10 tracks. Thanks!
 
To be honest I'm not sure of their different pricing options at lower levels. I can't disclose the rate I negotiated, but I can say we have a 5 year contract with them. We charge clients for music, so after a few projects the yearly fee for music gets paid for, and everything after that is gravy.
