has anyone seen the sonic commercials. On the parts when they are in the car, the camera looks really cheesy and videolik (60i) probobly. Just wondering kind of annoying.

but seriously....I see these commericals all the time...yet I think there is only one Sonic in the state of michigan.... or I have yet to actually see one.

yeah. funny you should bring this up. My gf and I were JUST talking about this last night after having watched a commercial. We were perplexed by the unrelenting barrage of SONIC commercials when, as far as I know there are NO Sonic Fast Food joints around here.

I had her check while she was on the Internet. There isn't any in New York. So, go figure.

Having said that...I kind of like the rediculously cheesy nature of those commercials.

Sometimes the commercials are funny...but I yet haven't seen one here in my long years of living in Jersey.

They advertise in a state they dont even have a chain in.

Their corporate HQ is in Oklahoma City...

I've never worked on their commercials, but I've been involved in photo shoots for their menus.

My old girlfriend and I went to one in Winslow, Arizona (yes, like the Eagles song) while on the way to the meteor crater.

The waitress (actually "carhop") was cute, but the food was like A&W or Dairy Queen and so was the atmosphere.:zombie_smiley:

I don't like any of them except for the tot rejection one they show during March for Mach Madness.

Lots and lots of Sonics in Texas. I like their food more than other fast food places, but their service is typically and you have to tip. My neighbor said on big nights she'd get over $40 an hour off of tips alone.

No one tips Sonic rollergirls around here (NC). Or anywhere else I've been to a Sonic (OH, KY).

Except MAYBE in Houston, but I didn't pay and didn't pay attention if there was tipping or not.

Rollergirls? Like....sit in your car and be served by hot chicks in tight shorts with roller blades?

I am going to NC right now.

Blckhawk, save your money. Theres hundreds of Sonics here in Texas and the girls, well....I've only seen a handfull of cute ones. Maybe its just me though. Btw, Ive got alot of family in Sussex County, NJ. Thats kinda close to Essex right?

Yeah the girls are not attractive. I've been served by a guy in rollerskates. They get paid more by the hour if they wear them.

My neighbor; however, was/is attractive.

Sussex county...ehhhh kinda sorta close..its like the wayyyy west side of Jersey...closer to PA than NYC. I'm like right next to NY..about 15 miles. The drive from Essex to Sussex is like a bit over an hour.

...being served by a guy in rollerskates...What a glorious image that must be. hahaha

i always feel obliged to tip and i hate it.

To me it feels like some of the girls put too much pressure on you to tip. If you dont tip well they give you attitude. I like the food though and occasionaly some of my friends will work there.

My tips that I leave to waitresses is my phone number on a napkin.

they do actually call....sometimes....

and when I'm in a REALLY good mood...ill pay the tip plus include the number.

I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds.

That's why Steve Buscemi was a lousy waiter in Pulp Fiction.

...anyone else ever make that connection...?
