Something loose?

Hey guys. I got my dvx100a just a bit ago. when it came out of the box i noticed that when i tilt it up and down, it seems as though something is loose, like a flat piece of plastic or something. The Camera works fine- im just wondering if this is normal or not and if it isn't should i send it back? thanks a lot.

Re: Something loose?

Yep it's totally useless. if you continue using it, your camera may very well blow up. Somehow the terrorists infiltrated the Panasonic assembly lines overseas and have been inplanting the infamous "tilt-click-timebomb" mechanism into the new cams. It's a crying shame those muslim extremists (they all own xl1's by the way...).

Re: Something loose?

It's the optical stabilizer that sounds like that ... They all do that, nothing to worry about (i guess?)

Re: Something loose?

lol.. Boo
It sounds like a real issue... ;D When we spend thousands of dollars on equipment we shouldnt have to put up with clicks and clanks.. I would call panasonic or the place you bought it.. And tell them you heard over on DVX user that its a major flaw.. lol   ;)

(Youll be ok ;) )

Re: Something loose?

My favorite was the guy someone told that he would have to sit in a totally dark closet for 1/2 an hour to "re-calibrate" the camera.

Yes, he actually went into the closet, and wouldn't you know, that "click" was still there...
