You can thank Tony404 for all the stupid questions I'll be asking here.
With my style I do a lot of video cutting, but only a little audio cutting. I do mainly just straight cuts with a few simple cross fades on the video. However, the audio usually has longer cross fades since there are fewer cuts on the audio track.
Recently I've been running into a problem. I don't know if it's a setting I hit or what. But if I have a cross fade going on, and I drag a piece of audio, OR if I move my selection (which has audio cross fades in the selection), I lose the cross fade.
Does that make sense?
If I drag a piece of audio thru my audio track... (for whatever reason) as the audio passes near a cut a new cross fade starts (I have auto crossfades turned on) and as soon as that audio passes over the crossfade, I lose the cross fade and it goes back to being a hard cut. Now then, If I just CLICK that hard cut it instantly goes back to being a crossfade.
I can drag a piece of video thru the time line and the same thing happens where a cross fade starts to generate and as soon as that video is clear of the crossfade the original crossfade is left intact.
I hope I'm able to explain that problem clearly. Does anyone know how to make it so my audio crossfades don't disappear if I move the audio track, or if I drag audio through it?
