Something I get to work around tomorrow.

A Russian arm on a Porche.

You don't see that every day.
That's Chase Car, Inc. They have two of those bad boys. They specialize in high speed camera car ops.

This is one of those gigs I am doing for free, just to be a part of it. So, I get to be set photog most of the day until my scene is up, then I am a "bad guy" shooting from another Porsche (bringing the gas SCAR). And a little audio......

Just a couple photos from today on my D60 (back up camera).......Oh man, when you see the stuff I shot on the Mark II.......wow. BTW, one of those photos shows the Panamera being clocked at 104 mph and crane fully operational.

So what we had on the shoot:
5 REDs (3 Epics, 2 Scarlets) One of the shooters was from the RED Bomb Squad
5 GoPro's
1 Panamera Camera car
1 Cayenne Camera car
1 Carerra picture car
1 Cayman picture car

Shot at Willow Springs Racetrack in Rosamond, CA. The cool thing is the commercial we shot is already being mentioned on the Porsche FB page where they highlight Chase Cars, Inc. (the guys that own the chase/camera cars)

What a great day of filmmaking! (Even better than usual, because I got to do a hot lap in the Cayman, hit 102 in the front straight-away.) This one:

BTW, even a small pebble at 80mph hurts like hell.

Awesome Doc. Did you supply the prop weapons too? I think you mentioned that but not sure.

Looking forward to seeing the commercial.

Yep, Gord, that's one of mine. I also supplied the nickel-plated 92FS for the actress I was shooting at.

LOL, this was a Porsche only shoot......wink,wink. In addition to the commercial, we will be taking all of the GoPro footage and cutting a special version just for GoPro.

All said, I think there will be 3 different cuts. One for the client, one for GoPro, and one for Porsche.

I'd be interested to see footage from the camera on the car going 101. Surely at that speed a little bit of shake would be introduced? If not, then wow I need to get me one of those! Looks like an awesome shoot to be on.

We got tons of footage and I have seen some of it...........smooth as a baby's bottom. No shake or jitter. Those heads are dampened for vibration. I am not the editor, so it's going to be a while before I can post up any vid from the shoot.

We probably got a total of 26 hours of film in 4 hours, with all the cameras we had rolling on each take/scene.
