Hey all,
I posted the post below elsewhere and thought I might as well post it here(bigger community). I am looking for anyone who is interested in helping out(could definitely use help with sound/AC/cam op) or if any los angeles DVXer's know of any awesome skateboarders looking to make a skate film. I'm looking to start filming some street skating as soon as possible so let me know what you think. Post here, PM me or email me. Thanks y'all.
"Hello,
I am providing a service of extreme sports cinematography. Specifically street skating. This is a service free of charge and is literally a "filming" service. In other words I shoot with real film. The camera that I use is an Arriflex 16S. It is perfect for shooting extreme sports. The '16S is capable of shooting 10-50 fps, an excellent range of frame rates that can capture the smooth look of film at 24fps and the true slow motion of higher frame rates.
The service I am providing is for skaters trying to get sponsored or an already sponsored team looking to shoot a team skate film(or commercial) or even for those who just want to make an awesome skate film featuring a group of truly talented skaters. So, whether you're an am., professional or just looking to make a skate film chock-full of talent, then my service is here for you.
If this might be something you and your crew would like to be apart of then please contact me. I would more than enjoy filming you in this big skatepark of a city we call Los Angeles. This is a service free of charge, although it would be nice of you to pitch in for film or processing/transfer once in a while, but is not required of you. And please, only respond if you can skate big gaps, destroy huge ledges, skate handrails, clear big single set or double set stairs and land big flip tricks on/over the above terrain. I was once a skateboarder, so I know a bit about skating and how great it is to skate big.
Send me some links to skate vids/or pics if you have them(not required) and let me know what you're looking to skate. Thanks for reading.
