Someone tell me what I want to buy...

Okay, so, I will tell you guys what I am wanting to do and would like you to point me to the right lav. mic.
Here is the scenario. I am sitting down with a church pastor to discuss why his church has decided to build yet another building. We will have 2 cameras and the Zoom H4n. One camera on me, and one camera on him. I'd like us each to be mic'ed with a lavalier that is obviously running into the Zoom.
My plan is to mount the zoom to the shoe of my T2i (we shall call that camera 1). I have the cable that I can run from the Zoom into the Camera so that all audio is sync'ed (which that cable is short and that is why I'm mounting to the T2i). Now, here is where I need advice on which lavs to buy.
I would like someone to point me to a lav mic that is wired (don't want to mess with wireless, please don't tell me that I'm an idiot- just know I don't want wireless). One one end the mic (obviously) and the other end either a 1/4 inch or XLR (since either of those will run into the bottom of the Zoom). Ideally I don't want them to need batteries of any sort.
Hope I didn't talk too long, but hopefully that is enough for someone to guide me to the right purchase.

Hard-wired is a good way to go, you are correct in not using wireless in this scenario. There's an old adage: Whenever you are able, always run a cable.

The 1/4 inch jacks on the Zoom are for line level (actually 'instrument level') signals, NOT mic level, so running your lav directly into them would not work properly. So what you want is a hard-wired lav with an XLR output and phantom power adapter. There's a bunch of options on the market ... a good starter is the Rode lavalier fitted with the Micon 5 adapter. Tram 50 with the XLR power module is another mainstream choice. The Sanken COS 11 is another very well respected mic.

Don't know much about MXL but you get what you pay for. As for the Azden, well, they''re Azden....
