I just found a cool spray can:

Anti Slip

Its this anti slip grip paint, it dries like sand paper (bout 80grit equiv). Its amazing because it sprays out as a clear varnish type laqure, then the sand like texture sort of grows out of the paint as it dries.

The end result is a very grippy durable surface, would be perfect for stand on dollies, apple boxes etc etc.

Good product.

We have something here in the US that's similar (can't remember the name), but stick with grip tape it's easier, faster and most important it's not a harmful spray.
